About this tour

If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, we offer the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program, perfect for first time divers!

While not a diving certification, the DSD program is an introduction to scuba diving, where an instructor teaches you the basics of diving. You will dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres in the Musandam Peninsula, which has many healthy coral reefs and a wide bio-diversity.

To sign up for the Discover Scuba Diving program, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in good physical health. You will be required to complete a medical questionnaire prior to the dive. If any questions are answered “yes”, you will be required to get a doctor’s medical clearance to dive before we can continue. If you have any medical conditions that could prevent you from diving, please let us know beforehand.

During the DSD your instructor will take you through the following:
• Basic diving safety guidelines
• Scuba gear
• Diving skills
• Underwater communication
2 boat dives with an instructor in the Musandam Peninsula fjords. Backwards roll right into your first diving experience.
60 OMR | 600 AED

Included in your DSD cost is your dive tax ticket, all equipment needed, snacks and refreshments, instructor, boat and captain.
To book a DSD program please confirm your date, provide each participants name and a copy of their passport for the coastguard in case of an emergency.
